Indo-Pacific - The Indo-Pacific is the aggregate of the Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean, and the minor seas between the two in the general area of Indonesia. The term is especially useful in marine biology, ichthyology, and similar fields, since many marine habitats are continuously connected from Madagascar to Japan, and a number of species occur over that range, but are not found in the Atlantic Ocean.
Marine science - Marine science is a multidisciplinary field of study and research of ocean life and physics. Overlap areas between the different marine science disciplines are increasingly targeted as it seems necessary to investigate these areas in order to fully understand the workings of the marine environment.
National Sea Life Centre (Birmingham) - The National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham, England is an aquarium with over 60 displays of freshwater and marine life. The attraction boasts a one million litre ocean tank housing giant green sea turtles, blacktip reef sharks and tropical reef fish.
Fitzgerald Marine Reserve - Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is a marine reserve on the Pacific Ocean, located just north of Pillar Point Harbor and Mavericks in the San Mateo County town of Moss Beach, California. Moss Beach is located approximately 20 miles south of San Francisco, California and 50 miles north of Santa Cruz, California.

The East Greenland Current carries the major outflow. Water also enters from the Pacific Ocean by the land masses of Europe, Asia, North America, and Greenland and a number of islands, as well as by the Bering Strait. It is connected to the Pacific via the Bering Strait. It is connected to the Atlantic by way of the Norwegian Current, which then flows along the Eurasian coast.
